Why you should not use butt splices...

This machine is a 06 but I'm not sure when this "repair" was done but it can't be to old. All these wires has to be replaced.

  1. Funny how short the repair actually lasts in adverse conditions, eh? Looks like some of those connectors are the wrong size too?

    Hopefully you have a supply of shrink tube? The stuff with goop inside?

    I will also tape first then shrink. Seems to work well.

  2. I used solder and heat shrink to repair them. And yes a bunch of them had the wrong size splices on them as well.
